Free online books about C++, C# and C programming

May 25th, 2007

C++ (pronounced “see plus plus”) is a general-purpose, high-level programming language with low-level facilities. It is a statically typed free-form multi-paradigm language supporting procedural programming, data abstraction, object-oriented programming, generic programming and RTTI. Since the 1990s, C++ has been one of the most popular commercial programming languages.

Bjarne Stroustrup developed C++  in 1983 at Bell Labs as an enhancement to the C programming language. Enhancements started with the addition of classes, followed by, among other features, virtual functions, operator overloading, multiple inheritance, templates, and exception handling. The C++ programming language standard was ratified in 1998 as ISO/IEC 14882:1998, the current version of which is the 2003 version, ISO/IEC 14882:2003. A new version of the standard (known informally as C++0x) is being developed. Read the rest of this entry »

PC without coolers

April 11th, 2007

We have already made three modding computers without any coolers!

Fanless computer

The growth of computers’ productivity is always held with the increasing of coolers power. Some don’t like noise from coolers in modern computers. We practically solved this problem. In our computers there are no coolers even hard disk drives are in special silent pc box with cooling. The device reliability is much higher then usual computers, now it’s not afraid of dust and the work of an expensive processor doesn’t depend from a cheap cooler. We don’t use water for cooling process, such systems are less reliable. We use only heat pipes and passive cooling. The results we achieved exceeded expectations, the device has been working for half a year and it worked during the summer time. Read the rest of this entry »

Adobe tackles browser incompatibilities

February 25th, 2007

Honing in on browser incompatibility issues in Web development, Adobe Systems on Thursday is announcing CSS Advisor, a Web site that documents these problems and offers solutions.

The site, which goes live on Friday, is geared to users of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and features best practices for Web page development.

“With CSS Advisor, the problem that we set out to solve is that people are wasting a huge amount of time trying to make their pages look the same across different browsers,” said Kenneth Berger, Adobe product manager for the company’s Dreamweaver technology.

CSS Advisor provides a central resource to show developers what they might run into, such as dealing with content overflow on an Internet Explorer page that was not a problem with Firefox, Berger said. Developers can access lists of issues focusing on margins, he said. About 30 browser issues are featured now.

The free affiliate program offers incentives to their affiliate partners as well as their customers. Without the expense and investment of purchasing software to download onto your computer, the free affiliate programs are simple, easy to understand and can make you a wealthier person.

These programs typically offer pay-per-lead, pay-per-click or pay-per-sale generated income. The affiliate receives commission or a flat-fee rate per the agreed upon contract and in turn continues to send business in the way of the affiliate. The companies that use affiliate programs are numerous, too numerous to name them all here. Making sure that you get set up with the right one is the first step to take in making extra money.

There are two ways to become affiliated with a company. You can set up your own website, or, another, more profitable way is through your email/ezine list. As banner ads and pop-ups get a limited amount of traffic, the website route may not be for you. If you are not constantly updating and changing your website, the traffic will dwindle and eventually fade away. Unless your website is specific enough to drive traffic for a specific reason, this will also cause a stall.
